Good Shepherd Church of India is an Indian national transformational church movement dedicated to bringing good news for the poor, freedom for prisoners, deliverance for the oppressed, and sight for the blind (Luke 4:18). We exist to bring hope – hope found in Jesus Christ through His love and compassion.
There are four focuses of life that we live out every day in an effort to serve our brothers and sisters in India.
We have free will and with it we study of the Bible and believe in an educated mind.
We encounter Christ in worship through His sacraments and in the helping of those in need.
We work hard because we love our neighbor as ourselves and can’t idly watch suffering.
We walk arm in arm with all Indians of all faiths and status bringing hope as light shining on a hill.
We believe in the God-given dignity of all humankind. We stand committed to the biblical holistic restoration of this dignity to those from whom it has been historically denied, especially the Dalit-Bahujan and other poor marginalized people of India. The institutions of our ministry are dedicated to this work.
All are welcome each Sunday as we worship the Lord.
